Made from hand-harvested 100% Blue Weber agave, Espolòn Tequila Reposado is created from start to finish at our Casa San Nicolás distillery located in the prestigious Los Altos (Highlands) De Jalisco in Mexico.
Espolòn Tequila is created using a unique combination of traditional and modern methods and is the brain child of our late creator & Maestro Tequilero, Cirilo Oropeza.

To create our Tequila Reposado, we use only mineral rich water drawn from our natural well located below our distillery. We hand-harvest the 100% Blue Weber agaves and steam cook them in our custommade stainless-steel autoclaves. We then add a little bit of art to the science and play classical music to the yeast as they work during fermentation. Cirilo believed it helps the yeast activate thanks to the vibrations of the music’s sound waves. We then double distill our tequila using a combination of column and pot stills to give it a perfectly smooth and balanced taste profile. Finally, we age the tequila for at least 2 months in new American oak barrels to create a perfectly balanced, complex and well-rounded character.
This way we create an authentic, medium to full-bodied aged Mexican tequila with a rich golden color. Our tequila Reposado has a bold, round palate with rich roasted agave, sweet tropical fruit and a long spicy finish.
We bottle our Tequila Reposado in our signature bottle (modeled after traditional Mexican milk bottles) with a distinctive label inspired by works of a famed Mexican artist, José Guadalupe Posada.
Created to sip on and share, Espolòn Tequila Reposado is also perfect in cocktails, like a Spicy Margarita or Mexican Mule.
Espolòn Tequila is a premium, 100% Blue Weber agave tequila crafted in the Highlands of Jalisco, Mexico.
Founded by Master Distiller Cirilo Oropeza, the brand blends traditional tequila-making with a bold, creative spirit inspired by Mexican culture, artistry, and heritage.
Named after the rooster's spur—a symbol of strength, pride, and determination—Espolòn celebrates authenticity through vibrant storytelling, iconic label art inspired by José Guadalupe Posada, and approachable yet expertly crafted tequila.
Confident, playful, and unapologetically original, Espolòn invites people to raise a glass to creativity, connection, and the spirit of celebration.
This is not a fav mid brand/price of mine. Much prefer a few others to this. No flavor.
